Catherine graduated in July 2017 from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School with a BA Hons degree in Costume for Theatre, Television and Film. During her three years at BOVTS, she developed a number of skills including costume cutting and construction, basic men’s tailoring, millinery, corsetry, make-up, hair and wig dressing, body padding, stretch wear and tutu construction. She worked on a number of the school productions as a costume assistant, dresser, maker, supervision and as an on-set film standby. While at the theatre school Catherine developed a keen interest in costume supervision, running wardrobe and on set standby; and has successfully completed a variety of different work placements on both theatre and television productions.


Previously, whilst studying A-Levels at Gordano School, she worked as a costume assistant on theatre productions including ‘Oliver’ for Portishead Players and at the Young Vic Theatre in London, working on ‘The Sound of Yellow’ and ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’. For work experience, she also assisted on the TV set of ‘Deal or No Deal’.


Catherine has worked on a number of professional theatre productions. She has previously worked as Head of Wardrobe and Costume Supervisor on several shows, including Opera tours, pantomimes and new, original shows. She has worked in different costume roles on the West End theatre production of 'Wicked' and also the UK tour. More recently, she has completed a UK Tour with the musical 'An Officer and a Gentleman' and also two UK Tours as Head of Wardrobe with the English Touring Opera. Other theatre includes costume supervising shows such as, ‘Rocky: A Horror Show’, ‘Eloise and the Curse of the Golden Whisk’, 'Reservoir Mogs', 'Oedipuss in Boots' and 'Drac & Jill' at the Wardrobe Theatre. Also, ‘Callisto’ at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Arcola Theatre in London and a selection of shows at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre.


She has also worked on professional Film and TV productions including, a short film â€˜Angels in the Asylum’, as a Set Costumer and the TV show â€˜Poldark', working as a Daily, doing costume fittings, freelance costume making and crowd and principal alterations. I have also worked on a ‘Random Acts Film’ for Channel 4, ‘The Laura Marlin Mysteries’, two music videos working alongside director Simon Hutchins, and ‘Mum’s List’ for Studio Soho Films.
